Population: Police officers and command staff
One of the most pressing issues raised by the war is the Zionist concept of living on the border and how it relates to the concept of defense and settlement in the State of Israel today. Through an experiential tour, we will go back over a hundred years to the battle of Tel Hai, a decisive point in shaping the concept of "to the last furrow." We will understand how relevant and topical this concept is to the mission of today's police officers and ask what place it has in their sense of mission. From there, we will continue to Kiryat Shmona for an inspiring meeting with a local activist who will discuss life on the border today, in the shadow of the recent war, the challenges it poses, and the questions it raises.
Objectives:
- Examining the Zionist concept of living on the borders and defending them, and examining the relevance of this concept to the mission of police officers today.
- Strengthening police officers' sense of mission by exposing them to inspiring stories of heroism and protection
- Strengthening unity within the unit and understanding that social resilience and security resilience are interdependent
- Providing a platform for discussion on dedication and sacrifice for the sake of national security – then and now
