General

Peki'in is an ancient settlement that was probably inhabited thousands of years ago. Today, Peki'in is a local council with 5,700 residents, comprising 781 Druze, 201 Christians, 1.21 Muslims, and a small number of Jews. This makes Peki'in one of the few places in the world where people of four religions (Druze, Christian, Muslim, and Jewish) have lived together for many years.

On this tour, we will get to know the village and, through the stories of its past and present residents, learn about the ability to accept those who are different from me in life in general and in police service in particular.

The Cave of Rashbi – The story of Rabbi Shimon and the issue of combining spiritual life with real life

Ma'ayan Square – information about the arrival of the Druze in the Upper Galilee, unique characteristics, and interesting stories. The ancient synagogue and visitor center. We will learn about the history of the ancient synagogue in the village and visit the unique visitor center that was established there, which tells the story of the Zinati family, whose daughter Margalit still keeps the Jewish flame alive in the village.
