Who we are

Vision and Identity

The Inspiring Training Center promotes an educational vision that strengthens the values and social resilience of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic country. We operate in the face of the internal and external tensions facing Israeli society, believing in the power of education to bring about change, strengthen the values of partnership, social involvement, and equality, and establish a stable and value-based society in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence.

What do we do?

The center develops educational programs, mentoring, counseling, training, and guidance with the goal of fostering proactive, responsible, and ethical leadership. We work alongside management and command teams, teachers and administrators, soldiers, police officers, and students, all of whom are full partners in building a shared Israeli future.
Hameorer creates experiential learning spaces that enable participants to connect with their identity, values, and community. The sessions address pressing issues in Israeli society, expose participants to different positions and heated debates, and develop tools for dealing with social and political challenges. All this is achieved through innovative, creative, and multidisciplinary informal pedagogy that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, commitment, and a sense of mission.

Our uniqueness

Hameorer model focuses on the natural connection between values and daily activities. We develop programs tailored to the nature of the organization and its vision, working together with the education and management teams. This creates organic processes that continue even after our involvement ends. Our extensive experience in the IDF, the Israel Police, and the education system shows that this model instills deep layers of values-based leadership and creates a foundation for long-term organizational change.

Pedagogy of Hope

Pedagogy of hope is our core value: a combination of looking ahead to the future and taking active steps in the present. We create experiential, multidisciplinary, informal learning spaces that foster curiosity, critical thinking, civic responsibility, and a sense of mission.
In this way, we strengthen personal and community resilience and enable growth amid the challenging reality in Israel.

Where did we come from?

"HaMeorer was established in 1995 following the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin – as an educational response to the urgent need for education in democracy, civic responsibility, and social cohesion. In 2006, the Dror Israel movement was founded by graduates of the Working and Learning Youth Movement, and HaMeorer became part of its educational framework. Thirty years later, HaMeorer continues to be a leading force in social-democratic education in Israel, collaborating with a wide range of organizations and state institutions throughout the country.
The Dror Israel movement has established a broad educational-academic framework based on social-democratic pedagogy. The system includes: teacher training courses and a master's degree in education management at Beit Berl College, a network of educational institutions and social boarding schools throughout the country, pre-military preparatory programs, youth movements and organizations, and a youth network.
Hameorer draws its pedagogy and expertise from this framework—a unique combination of academic theory, extensive field experience, and educator training. This creates a continuous cycle of knowledge: from research to the field, from the field to learning and training, and from there back to the development of training programs with long-term impact.
