סיור בעקבות מחלוקות בירושלים

במהלך הסיור נלמד כיצד מחלוקות עיצבו את עם ישראל ואת מדינת ישראל לאורך השנים, ונבחן דילמות של קבלת החלטות ונקיטת עמדה בתוך מחלוקת. הסיור משלב דיון ערכי על גבולות השיח, חופש ביטוי, פריפריה חברתית, יחסי דת ומדינה וזהות לאומית – תוך תרגול של שיח מכיל בין עמדות שונות. 

The route is approximately 4 km long (it is possible to shorten it or change the order of the stops).

Tour stops:

  • The Wide WallSolidarity as the basis for the ability to tolerate disagreement.
  • The Cardo: חורבן בית שני, שנאת חינם – מתי מחלוקת הופכת לשנאה?
  • IDF Square: The division of the city between Israel and Jordan in the early years of the state, relations between peoples in the city.
  • Sapra Square: The Black Panthers protest, economic disparities, a "backyard" within society, the cultural melting pot dilemma.
  • Zion Square: מתי מחלוקת חוצה את הגבול?
  • Shabbat Square / Strauss Street: The ultra-Orthodox community in Jerusalem, the issue of Shabbat, ways to resolve disputes in a democratic society.
  • The Horse Garden (The Knesset building in its early days): The Reparations Agreement, empathy, and understanding for the opposing position in the dispute.

“Right to Shout” tour in Tel Aviv

An educational tour tracing the history of Israeli democracy. On this tour, we will learn about the vision of the Declaration of Independence and examine the gap between it and our present day. We will encounter the struggles and burning issues that have taken place on the streets of Tel Aviv over the years. We will examine the limits of democracy and the limits of protest and freedom of expression and the dangers that lurk, and we will conclude with a call to be the guardians of democracy in Israel in our daily lives. Points of interest along the tour route: Rabin Square, Habima, Rothschild Boulevard, Kidnapped Soldiers Square, Gan Meir Park, Kaplan.

Social Justice Tour Shapira, Tel Aviv

A tour of the Shapira neighborhood in southern Tel Aviv, which addresses issues of social justice in relation to economic and social disparities and the different populations living together in the neighborhood.
