An in-depth journey through the landscapes of the western Negev into the story of the communities in the region's settlements and in Sderot, in light of the events of October 7 and the ongoing complexity of life in the region. Through visits to memorial sites, battle sites, rehabilitation centers, and encounters with everyday life, we will learn about stories of heroism, community resilience, and coping with trauma alongside choosing life.
Tour objectives:
- An introduction to the history of settlement in the western Negev and life in the city of Sderot under the shadow of terrorism
- Exposure to ethical dilemmas regarding memory, rehabilitation, and community resilience
- Strengthening the sense of belonging, mutual responsibility, and commitment to Israeli society
