Seminar on the Order of the Day

The "Tzohar" seminar addresses one of the central questions facing young people in Israel: What is the meaning of service in the people's army in these days of complex values, politics, and society? Through engaging workshops, open discussions, and real-life dilemmas, students are invited to examine their personal motivation for service and the connection between personal identity, civic responsibility, and belonging to the country. The seminar encourages students to explore values related to IDF service and the issues involved.

Seminar structure:

Lesson 1: What is meaningful service? – Examining the motivations for enlisting in the IDF among participants and Israeli society in general, and examining the impact of different motivations and perceptions of the meaning of service on the image of the IDF.

Lesson 2: Army with – Introduction to the concept of an army with and how it is expressed through various dilemmas.
