A challenging group experience for identifying and developing leadership and command skills. Through a series of physical and experiential stations, participants experience different command roles, deal with stressful situations, information gaps, competition, and cooperation, and discuss key dilemmas in the work of leaders and teams, including: What is the added value of management and guidance? How do you manage when there is a change in leadership? How do you deal with differences in perspective between the commander and the field? Differences in priorities – what happens when there is no agreement?
The activity includes processing after each station and a concluding discussion on the roles of the commander, limits of authority, sharing, and leadership in diverse teams.
