1. חשיפת התלמידים למגוון הזהויות, התרבויות והקהילות המרכיבות את החברה הישראלית – דרך מפגש עם אנשים ומקומות.
2. פיתוח יכולת הקשבה ודיאלוג עם "האחר" – מתוך סקרנות ולא מתוך פחד או הכללה.
3. חיזוק תחושת השייכות והאחריות האזרחית של התלמידים לחברה הישראלית.
4. העמקת הקשר בין המחנכת לכיתה סביב שיח ערכי, כך שהסמינר משמש גם כמנוף לעבודה חינוכית מתמשכת ולא רק כאירוע חד-פעמי.

מתווה מוצע:

שלב הכנה

• סדנת מחנכות – היכרות עם מהלך הסמינר ועם התכנים, הבנת התפקיד הנדרש מהן כמובילות הפעילות, ותיאום ציפיות.
• סדנת פתיחה בבית הספר: "לפגוש את האחר": מה קורה לנו במפגש עם ה"אחר" מאתנו? מדוע התגובה הבסיסית שלנו היא פחד? האם פחד ושנאה מקור אחד להן? אלו רק מקצת השאלות שעולות סביב 'מפגש עם האחר'. בחברה הישראלית כיום אנו נחשפים לגילויים של אלימות וגזענות, המעמידים בסימן שאלה את יכולתן של אוכלוסיות שונות לחיות יחד בשותפות ובשוויון. האם ניתן ליצור התייחסות חיובית למפגש עם ה"אחר", על רקע השוני והגיוון הרב הקיימים בחברתנו?
  הסדנה ניתנת להעברה ע"י מדריכי המעורר או ע"י המחנכות עצמן (בליווי חומרים והכנה שיסופקו מטעם "המעורר").

יום 1:

• פתיחה בטיילת לואי, חיפה: פעילות היכרות וגיבוש, למידה על ההיסטוריה של חיפה כעיר מעורבת ומגוונת ודיון בשאלה: האם גיוון הוא פוטנציאל לשגשוג או לאלימות?
  בהדרכת מדריכי המעורר
• נסיעה חווייתית בכרמלית
• סיור בשכונת הדר: סיור חוויתי מרחוב מסדה ועד לשוק תלפיות, בה נספר את סיפורה של שכונת הדר: מהשכונות המגוונות בישראל. נדבר על הקונפליקטים שנוצרים בין אוכלוסיה ותיקה לצעירה, בין עולים  חדשים לצברים, בין חילונים, דתיים וחרדים ובין יהודים וערבים. נברר כיצד קהילה מגוונת יכולה להתמודד עם המחלוקות הקיימות בה באופן ששומר על הרשמה האנושית ועל החיים המשותפים.

• ארוחת צהריים עצמאית בשוק תלפיות
• שיחות עם פעילים חברתיים מחיפה: ניתן לבחור בין נציגים מהקהילה החרדית, מהגרעין התורני, פעילים חברתיים בשכונה העוסקים בקליטת עולים חדשים, בחיים משותפים של יהודים וערבים ועוד.
• נסיעה למקום הלינה, זמן התארגנות וארוחת ערב
• פעילות חברתית בהפקת בית הספר

יום 2:

• סיור בדאליית אל-כרמל: היכרות עם העדה הדרוזית בהובלת מדריכים מקומיים
• שיח עם דובר מהעדה הדרוזית, על סוגיות אקטואליות סביב חיי הדרוזים בישראל כיום.
• ארוחת צהריים מסורתית
• משבצת סיכום בהובלת המחנכות: איך השפיעו עלי המפגשים ומה אני לוקח מהסמינר?

• Tour of mixed cities in Acre, העוסק באתגרים ובדילמות של עיר מעורבת. הכרות עם מציאות החיים בעבר ובהווה בעיר, נפגוש מקרי מבחן וקונפליקטים בין אוכלוסיות ונשאל מה מחזק את היכולת לחיות יחד, לא רק זה לצד זה אלא זה עם זה. כולל מפגש עם איש שיח מקומי.

• “תהא פתוחה לעלייה יהודית ולקיבוץ גלויות” – כיכר המייסדים: תל אביב מימי הקמתה היוותה מרחב מפגש בין עולים ממגוון גלויות. במרחב זה נדון במפגש הגלויות על המתחים שבו וכן על הפוטנציאל שטמון בו.
• "לפיכך נתכנסנו" – פסל דיזינגוף: סיפור הכרזת העצמאות.
• “גם בתוך התקפת הדמים” – מוזיאון ההגנה: מוזיאון ההגנה, הממוקם במפקדת ההגנה, מביא עימו את הייחודיות שבהגנה העברית ואת חשיבות ערך ההגנה בקיום מדינה – ניתן לקיים הדרכה קצרה מחוץ למוזיאון או להיכנס להדרכה של שעה בתוך המוזיאון (בתוספת תשלום על הכניסה).

Objectives:

• Deepening understanding of the Zionist idea through learning about seminal stories in Jewish and Zionist history, and clarifying the place of this idea in the lives of students.
• Strengthening personal and social ties to Jerusalem as a center of identity, hope, and encounter for the Jewish people.
• Exposure to models of leadership, responsibility, and personal example.

Part I – The Castel Site:
We will learn about the battles to open the besieged road to the city and address questions such as: What did Jerusalem mean to the fighters at that time? What price were they willing to pay to gain access to it? And what is the responsibility of those who lead others? Along the route, there will be experiential ODT stations, at each of which the students will face tasks involving decision-making, teamwork, leadership under pressure, and seeing the other side. Through physical experience, we will create a connection between the story of the commanders and fighters at Castel and questions of personal and group leadership in the lives of today's students.

Part II – Mount Herzl:
Introduction to Herzl and the Zionist vision.
Then select 3 of the following stations:

• The Great Leaders of the Nation – On leadership and leaders, with an emphasis on the figure of Yitzhak Rabin.
• Hannah Szenes and the Yishuv Paratroopers – On the choice of a girl their age to fulfill Zionism in her personal life.
• Ma'apili Aguz – The Story of the Immigrants from Morocco.
• Monument to the Jewish soldier in the Red Army.
• Sudan Memorial – The Story of Immigration from Ethiopia.
• Last Descendant – The story of Holocaust survivors who immigrated to Israel and fell in the War of Independence, the last descendants of their families.
• Visit to the plots at the military cemetery – discussion about the value of defense through stories of the fallen.

What is the origin of the custom of Selichot? What is the significance of repairing people and the world in Jewish history? What is my connection to repair—between people and place, between people and their neighbors, and between myself and myself? How can we make repairs in our time?

We will address these questions during the Selichot tour. We will encounter figures and stories from Jewish tradition and engage in fascinating conversations about personal and societal redemption. We will examine our sources and discover that the aspiration to redeem the world has been a central tenet of the Jewish people throughout history, and continues to be expressed in our lives today.

Before the tour, we will hold a preparatory meeting with the teaching staff to discuss the tour content and safety instructions.

• Introduction to the concept of correction in Judaism in a personal and social sense, and connecting this concept to the present day and the students' world.
• Strengthening the connection to the traditions and heritage of the Jewish people.
• Strengthening the foundation of hope for social and collective change

Tour objectives:

• Getting to know the challenges of living on the northern border during wartime: evacuating communities, ongoing emergency routines, community rebuilding, and security uncertainty.
• Engaging in community resilience as a basis for coping – through stories of volunteering, mutual responsibility, and local leadership from within the community.
• An introduction to the values and ideals that have accompanied settlement on the northern border – from the establishment of Tel Hai to the present day, with an emphasis on responsibility, dedication, leadership, and choosing life.
• Strengthening the sense of personal and public mission among young men and women as they prepare for military service or for taking on civic responsibility.

Tour structure:

• Tel Hai Courtyard – An introduction to the early settlement of the Upper Galilee and an experiential discussion about the values and dilemmas of the past and present: Should we strengthen existing settlements or establish new ones at the edges of the country? Should we stay or leave when the security situation is unstable? Should we follow the needs of the people and the state or our personal desires?
• Kiryat Shmona – Learn about the city's founding, life under constant security threats, and civic initiatives in the periphery.
  Possible stops on the tour: Observation point at Givat Shachumit, Golden Park, Victims of Hostile Acts Square, Front Sorting Room, street survey in the market or commercial center.
• Meeting with a local social activist.
• Summary – A concluding discussion on the sense of belonging, civic leadership, coping with challenges, and taking responsibility.

You can also combine:

• Visit to a kibbutz/moshav in the area – introduction to the challenges of settlement on the border before and during the war from the perspective of the working settlement, with an emphasis on the community space as a strengthening factor. Includes the option of meeting with a local spokesperson.
• Agricultural or community volunteering – meaningful activity in the field, connection to local life, and hands-on experience. Volunteering will only be incorporated if there is a need in the field.
