What has fallen short? And what is our role as young people in a Jewish and democratic state? Through watching a video, exploring historical dilemmas, engaging in fundamental discussions, and examining examples of civic action, the Declaration becomes a living and inspiring document.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seminar objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To familiarize students with the Declaration of Independence, its content, and the principles it represents.<\/li>\n<li>Learning through the story of the writing of the Megillah about the ability to tolerate disagreement within a stratified and diverse society.<\/li>\n<li>Examining today's reality through the values embodied in the Megillah and clarifying our role today in light of its vision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Seminar structure:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The seminar consists of a single workshop comprising three stages: familiarization with the circumstances surrounding the declaration and the disputes among the drafters of the Magilla; clarification of key principles from the Magilla and comparison with values that are important to students today; and a concluding discussion \u2013 how each person can, in their own way, renew the civil covenant and become part of the legacy of the founders of the state.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*What is required for the activity: Classroom and projection equipment<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"menu_order":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"categories":[],"topics":[181],"activity-format":[191],"location":[],"content-types":[],"audience":[260,259,290,291],"services":[],"gefen":[235],"flagship":[],"amitim":[],"class_list":["post-1943","product","type-product","status-publish","hentry","topics-zionism","formats-seminars","audience-260","audience-259","audience-290","audience-291","gefen-1545----"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
