In this seminar, we will examine Zionism in the past, present, and future. We will begin by learning about the dilemmas of Zionism in its early days through a presentation of the First Zionist Congress. Through a quiz, we will learn about Herzl's vision, which aspired to establish not only a Jewish state in the Land of Israel, but also a model society that sought peace and justice, and we will learn about the attempts to realize this vision before the establishment of the State. We will ask whether Zionism fulfilled its role with the establishment of the State of Israel, and we will examine Herzl's statement that Zionism is \"an ideal without end.\" We will ask ourselves what Zionism means today and what challenges it faces in various areas, and we will learn inspiring stories of people from across Israeli society who are working to realize Zionism and create a better society in the Land of Israel.<\/p>\n
