מטרת המסע היא להציע נקודת מבט חדשה על חוסנה של מדינת ישראל. ההיכרות עם הזרמים השונים ביהדות, והלמידה על האופן שבו קהילות בתפוצות מגשרות על קיטובים, משמשות כמודל השראה והתחזקות עבורנו פנימה. במהלך המסע יגבשו המשתתפים מחויבות אישית ויוזמות אקטיביות לחיזוק החוסן הלאומי ולביצור הברית בין ישראל לתפוצות בעת הזו.

המסע מתקיים בשלושה יעדים אפשריים: ניו יורק, לונדון, פולין.

המסע מיועד לארגונים, לצוותים ולקבוצות מבוגרים.

כל יום מורכב מעבודה חקלאית בשעות הבוקר ופעילות חינוכית אחר הצהריים. בערב תתקיים פעילות תרבותית בהובלת התלמידים והמורים.

מתווה שבוע מסע

• יום 1: למה חקלאות? – הגעה לקיבוץ והתמקמות בו, שיחת פתיחה לשבוע העבודה. ניתן להוסיף פאנל עם חקלאים בנושא אתגרי החקלאות היום.
• יום 2: הקיבוץ ואתגרי השיתוף – בבוקר עבודה חקלאית, אחר הצהריים סיור בקיבוץ רביד להיכרות עם רעיון הקיבוץ השיתופי.
• יום 3: ציונות והתיישבות – בבוקר עבודה חקלאית, אחר הצהריים פעילות בנושא התיישבות ציונית: בין רעיונות חלוציים לעבודת השדה.
• יום 4: ציונות אז והיום – בבוקר עבודה חקלאית, בערב שיחת סיכום מסע הקושרת בין החוויה במסע לבין הגשמת הציונות היום. כולל טקס סיום לסיכום המסע.

ניתן להוסיף יום 5 למסע שיכלול סיור באתר מורשת: חצר כנרת / מחנה המעפילים בעתלית / בית חנה סנש.

The trip to Poland is an educational journey into the destroyed world of European Jewish communities and to Holocaust memorial sites – from the depths of human depravity to expressions of the human spirit. It is a journey of internal and external reflection, in which participants encounter testimonies, sites, and stories that raise profound questions about identity, morality, humanity, and choice. The uniqueness of the journey lies in the deep and comprehensive educational process that accompanies it from the preparation stage, through the days of the journey, to its conclusion, and in the dialogue of values that develops between the guide and the participants and among the group members themselves. At the center of the educational process are three questions:

• The question of man – what motivates man between the forces of good and evil within him?
• The question of identity – what constitutes our identity – Jewish, Zionist, Israeli – and what is the connection to the Jewish people then and now?
• The question of choice – how are people's choices shaped in different situations, then and now?

Through direct encounters with sights, places, and stories, and through group dialogue about dilemmas and questions from the past and present, participants in the journey undergo a meaningful, formative, and profound experience that will accompany them throughout their lives. On the journey, they are not merely guardians of memory, but become active partners in shaping it. From this, a sense of responsibility and commitment to the Jewish people, Israeli society, the Zionist idea, and the values of democracy, humanity, and morality is built.

Our pedagogy:

• Our pedagogy is based on informal education codes | a culture of circle discussions, guided group bonding, personal connections between guides and participants, and encouraging participants to take responsibility for the journey. The Ma'or journeys emphasize the power of young people to fight against realities they perceive as unjust, with the aim of changing them.
• Small group instruction | Instruction during the preparation process and the trip will be conducted in groups of approximately 20 participants. This approach allows for in-depth acquaintance between the instructor and his or her participants and creates an intimate and cohesive group in which in-depth discussions can develop.
• Trainee Activism | We encourage trainees to lead activities during the trip, prepare ceremonies, and organize social activities for the duration of the trip.
• Accompanying the educational team on the trip | Building a joint educational team of counselors and teachers who will lead the evening activities for the trip in small groups. We encourage teachers to be heavily involved in the trip, coordinating and communicating with the counselors, in accordance with the expectations of the teachers and the delegation coordinator from our side, the counselors.

Outline of the preparation process:

• Meeting of the delegation coordinator and lead guide
• Preparation meeting for the educational team (teachers and counselors)
• School preparation sessions (4 hours per session) (2-4 sessions)
• Visit to the Holocaust Institute (Ghetto Fighters' House or Yad Mordechai Museum) – optional
• Summary meeting

Objectives:

The overarching goal: to create a meaningful experience for young people that strengthens their identity and sense of responsibility as part of the Jewish people and Israeli society, in a Jewish and democratic state.

• Strengthening the sense of belonging, partnership, and responsibility toward Israeli society and its democratic and Zionist values.
• Giving contemporary meaning to concepts and symbols as part of an open and relevant Zionist identity.
• Developing critical thinking and sensitivity to different opinions, while maintaining respectful and ethical discourse.
• Encouraging social involvement through meaningful initiatives during and after the journey.

Key content and issues:

• Zionism – Issues and Challenges in Zionism from Then Until Now, the Connections between Jewish Identity and National Identity
• Democracy – democratic culture, the limits of public discourse, and the challenge of realizing the values of the Declaration of Independence in a Jewish and multicultural state.
• Judaism – The many facets of Jewish identity and personal exploration of one's connection to Judaism today.
• Living Together – The challenges of living in a diverse society, the search for a common identity and shared bridges.
• Socioeconomic equality – center and periphery, social struggles over the years, and the challenges of integrating minority groups into society.
• Defense – The challenges of Israel's security situation, living within borders, and defending the country.

במהלך המסע נפקוד תחנות מרכזיות המרכיבות את הסיפור היהודי:

• מרכזי החיים והתרבות: נבקר בקהילות המשגשגות של קראקוב, לובלין וורשה, ובעיירות שבהן חותם החיים היהודיים נותר חי וקיים עד היום.
• אתרי הזיכרון וההשמדה: באושוויץ-בירקנאו, מיידאנק וטרבלינקה, נעמוד מול הפרק האפל ביותר בתולדות האנושות וננציח את זכרם של יהודי אירופה.
• סיפורו של היחיד: נכיר מקרוב את דמויותיהם של בני אדם שחיו בתקופה זו, נדון בדילמות המוסריות הקשות איתן התמודדו ונחשף לקשת הבחירות האנושיות בצל השואה.
